Following an application all the way to its infrastructure.
A Spring Boot and React todo-app adaptation used to explore build automation, containers, and Terraform infrastructure on Oracle Cloud.
- My role
- CI/CD / infrastructure learning project
- When
- 2026
- Built with
- Java · Spring Boot · React · Maven · Docker · Terraform · Oracle Cloud
Explore how it works
Try it yourself ↓An application needs more than a build.
Move a sample release through packaging and infrastructure checks before deployment.
Start with the application source.
A simplified delivery model based on the Oracle sample adaptation. It runs no shell commands and creates no cloud resources.
The challenge
Building an application is only one part of delivering it. This learning project follows an Oracle-provided sample through its application code, build scripts, container setup, and infrastructure configuration.
How I built it
Start from a concrete application
The project adapts a Spring Boot and React todo application, using Maven and Oracle JDBC as the foundation for understanding the delivery workflow.
Connect builds and containers
Dockerfiles and build-and-deploy scripts provide the steps for packaging the application and preparing it for a cloud environment.
Describe the surrounding infrastructure
Terraform modules cover Oracle Kubernetes Engine, networking, a database, an API gateway, and object storage, connecting application delivery to the resources it depends on.
What came out of it
A hands-on CI/CD and infrastructure learning project that connects an existing application sample to build scripts, containers, and declarative cloud configuration.
Built from an Oracle-provided sample. The original application and infrastructure foundation are credited to Oracle.
