Explore how it works
Try it yourself ↓Turn a sample budget into a lesson.
Change the monthly outflow and practice interpreting the remaining balance.
There are 2,000 units coming in this month. Move the outflow, then decide where the balance ends.
Inflow − outflow

Practice progress: 0 / 1 completeFictional amounts and a handcrafted quiz explain the learning loop. No bank account, financial profile, or model is connected.
The challenge
Financial concepts can feel disconnected from everyday decisions. CapitalU explores how lessons, practice, and a visible record of progress could fit into one approachable mobile experience.
How I built it
Structure the learning experience
I modeled financial profiles, learning modules, challenges, and progress, then built a visual lesson path with quizzes and monthly progress views.
Connect lessons to a sample profile
The prototype uses simulated transactions, balances, and account access to explore how learning material can respond to a financial profile.
Prototype the guidance locally
Profile-aware lessons and challenges use local, handcrafted response logic. This made it possible to explore the interaction without a live bank connection or model integration.
What came out of it
A native financial-education prototype that brings learning navigation, practice, and progress tracking together. Banking data and advisory responses are simulated.
